Meet Makayla. She will be returning to Camp Highland for her second summer with us! She is excited to share why she loves camp!

“Camp Highland, what makes it so unique to me is that it’s a place so focused on God that everything we do is designed to point straight towards Him. You get to spend days in ropes courses, rock walls, and zip lines, and through these things it’s a place that gives you an opportunity to step out on faith, do things that might scare you. It’s a place that challenges you to live out your faith in every aspect of your life, and on top of all that it’s fun, some of the most fun you’ll ever have. I got to not only have an immense amount of fun with my campers, but also see them step out of their own comfort zones. I was able to walk with them through this experience because camp had brought me so far out of my comfort zone as well. There are so many things that can be taught and learned when you take those steps, and I got to see this over and over again in my camper’s lives as well as in my own life. Ultimately that’s what I love the most about camp, to see campers having the time of their life, but for it to be more than that, to see them grow in their relationship with the Lord, to ask questions and search for answers together. So all this to say if you want to spend time in a beautiful place, doing awesome things, surrounded by fun people, and most importantly learning more about our amazing Creator, then Camp Highland is the place to be, and I’d love to see each of you there this summer.”
