We can’t truly play with purpose if we are not also seeking real relationships and community with other followers of Christ. From the very beginning and throughout all Scripture, we see we are called to community and fellowship. We see it with Jesus and his disciples, with Job and his closest friends, with David and Jonathan, and really everywhere we look in Scripture. This is because we are designed to be in community. When we surround ourselves with other believers who really understand what it means to play with purpose, we are able to see and experience Christ more clearly. If we are truly trying to glorify God in everything we do, we must commit to doing it together.
